At step 4, while many of the legal restrictions that the Government have imposed through the pandemic will be lifted, we will remain cautious ensuring we still take reasonable steps to mitigate any risks while cases remain high. This is also the general census we have gathered through speaking with our members at the gym. The following will highlight measures that we will continue to follow, and these will be reviewed regularly.
Firstly, do not visit our facility if you show possible symptoms of COVID-19 or have been told to self-isolate. Please sanitise your hands upon arrival and wait at reception to be admitted by a member of staff, who will check you in. Temperature checks will be no longer be taken upon entry and we thank you for your patience whilst this measure has been in place.
Face coverings
Gyms, fitness facilities and health clubs are not defined as crowded under the government’s guidance, therefore face coverings will still not be mandatory, but optional for users visiting the gym.
QR code/NHS Test and Trace
Although there will no longer be a legal requirement for businesses to display the COVID-19 QR code posters at the entrance to premises. We will continue to display this for those wishing to check in using the NHS COVID-19 app. This is also optional.
Facility Capacity
We have calculated our maximum capacity based on recommendations by the government and UKactive. This will be 15 for the gym and remain at 12 in the studio to ensure participants have enough space between each other. In the gym, we are still yet to hit maximum capacity, so your visit is unlikely to be affected. We will continue to provide some online classes via Zoom for those wishing to participate at home. Please follow this link to see our upcoming timetable.
Equipment Spacing
Although equipment no longer needs to be 2m apart, equipment and machines will continue to be spaced apart to minimise contact. We ask that you do your best to maintain a safe gap between you and other members as you move around the gym during your visit.
Cleanliness
We will maintain our increased frequency of cleaning regime established during the pandemic, however, let us continue to work together to make our facility a safe place to work out and ensure you clean your equipment and designated workout areas after each use. Hand sanitizers will remain in place throughout the premises.
Ventilation
The gym and studios ventilation systems were upgraded during the pandemic to ensure we were COVID-compliant for both safety and comfort of users.
